Solitary Dancer
Solitary Dancer, cloaked by the night Stepping lightly through the dark and shadow Above her crown, a thousand stars shine bright Soft on her feet is the soil below
The rumbling thunder sets her aflight Intricate circles, designed on tiptoe The fireflies, startled, emerge in fright As lightening cracks, the wind begins to blow
Faster, faster, she whirls until she might Rise above the earth to dance with the Crow Slower, Slower, so fierce does the rain bite Like a wave, her silhouette, ebb and flow
Alas, the storm must end, Sunrise calls her No longer is she a Solitary Dancer
